Your role in our mission

 

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives and delivering better health and human services outcomes. 

 

  • Lead and/or participate in Joint Application Design sessions (JAD) to work with the Stakeholders and develop business specs during the project initiation phase.
  • Create technical design documents that include UML diagrams.
  • Develop and maintain batch programs written in C to automate various tasks, interact with Oracle databases, and process data.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs, diagnose errors, and implement fixes.
  • Liaise with clients and management to provide technical support on complex programming projects, validate program requirements, provide estimates, and resolve issues that may arise.
  • Participate in QA activities such as technical design and code walkthroughs.

What we're looking for

 

  • 6+ years of programming experience with C language and Oracle Pro*C on UNIX and/or Linux. 
  • 1+ years of Medicaid experience is preferred. 
  • Experience with design principles and the end-to-end software development life cycle (analysis, problem-solving, design, creation, troubleshooting, testing).
  • Strong knowledge of batch processing concepts and techniques, such as scheduling, monitoring, logging, error handling, etc.
  • Familiarity with Python is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $65,000 -$85,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
