Your role in our mission

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives and delivering better health and human services outcomes.

Lead and/or participate in Joint Application Design sessions (JAD) to work with the Stakeholders and develop business specs during the project initiation phase.
Create technical design documents that include UML diagrams.
Develop and maintain batch programs written in C to automate various tasks, interact with Oracle databases, and process data.
Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs, diagnose errors, and implement fixes.
Liaise with clients and management to provide technical support on complex programming projects, validate program requirements, provide estimates, and resolve issues that may arise.
Participate in QA activities such as technical design and code walkthroughs.

What we're looking for

6+ years of programming experience with C language and Oracle Pro*C on UNIX and/or Linux.
1+ years of Medicaid experience is preferred.
Experience with design principles and the end-to-end software development life cycle (analysis, problem-solving, design, creation, troubleshooting, testing).
Strong knowledge of batch processing concepts and techniques, such as scheduling, monitoring, logging, error handling, etc.
Familiarity with Python is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $65,000 -$85,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
