Your role in our mission

 

Serve as a Senior System Administrator for the IBM technology stack maintaining, configuring, and optimizing enterprise applications, middleware, and infrastructure components within the IBM ecosystem. The position requires strong technical expertise, hands-on administration, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of IBM systems that support critical business applications.

 

System Administration & Support

  • IBM BAW 8.6.x, IBM WAS 8.5.x/9.x, IBM WSRR 8.5.x, IBM ACE 11.x/12.x, IBM MQ 9.x, IBM DataPower Gateway 10.x, Progress Corticon 6.x Administration, Installation, Configuration, Upgrade, Applying Fix Packs, Optimization, Support, Deploy Interfaces and Troubleshooting including Process Center, Process Server and Deployment manager in accordance with the architecture
  • On Call Production Support for the IBM BPM, WAS, ACE, MQ, WSRR and DataPower Environments on rotation basis.
  • Defines configuration management and deployment strategies for SOA infrastructure
  • Configure Load Balancing, SSL/TLS Connections
  • Implement FIPS and STIGS across SOA infrastructure
  • Automate server management, and configuration management for IBM SOA, JACL, python, Jenkins, Maven, ant, Perl and shell scripts
  • Manage, Monitor, and Performance tuning of WAS/BPM/WSRR/ACE/MQ
  • Middleware failure analysis and recovery
  • Work closely with Architecture, Application Development, Database, Server and Networking Teams
  • Manage day-to-day system development and maintenance activities

 

Application & Environment Management

  • Support deployment and integration of enterprise applications built on the IBM stack.
  • Work with development and operations teams to manage application lifecycles, troubleshoot issues, and optimize environments.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and operating procedures.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce security best practices, access controls, and compliance requirements across IBM systems.
  • Conduct regular system audits and participate in IT governance processes.

Collaboration & Advisory

  • Partner with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design and implement reliable, scalable, and secure IBM-based solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior administrators and technical staff.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in IBM system technologies, advising on solution design and enhancements.

What we're looking for

 

9+ years of experience Administering, Installing, Configuring, Managing, Supporting, and Troubleshooting ACE, MQ, WAS, BPM, and WSRR on RHEL and Windows.

 

  • 5+ years of experience administering IBM technologies (WebSphere, DB2, MQ, Tivoli, or equivalent).
  • SOA Tools (ESB, Testing, Registry, Policy Manager, etc.)
  • Broad knowledge ofSOA and lifecycle methodology
  • SOA policies
  • Well-developed analytical and troubleshooting intellect
  • IIB, MQ, DataPower, and APIM
  • Strong understanding of enterprise system administration, including networking, storage, virtualization, and security principles.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning, monitoring tools, and system automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues across applications, middleware, and infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IBM Certified System Administrator or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools (Ansible, PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud integration and DevOps practices.
  • Prior experience in large-scale, highly regulated enterprise environments.

The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
