HMS is hiring Surveillance and Utilization Review (SURS) Support Staff for our Alaska MMIS Fiscal Agent account. These positions work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders - both external and internal to the company - to research and elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements, and to ensure that those requirements clearly reflect true business needs, correctly representing all stakeholders. Translate business needs into system/ application requirements and project components to help determine solutions to business problems. Assist team members in producing functional requirements for tool development. Proactively identifies and manages changes to requirements and identify risks for the company’s clients. Effectively manages client’s expectations. Apply industry and information technology expertise to support proposals, feasibility studies, implementations and new business development.

Your role in our mission


•    Formulate and define system scope and objectives using knowledge of information technology and industry knowledge/ requirements.
•    Act as a liaison between client and technical solutions/ support groups, using strong communication skills to elicit, document, analyze and validate business processes, systems, and solution requirements.
•    Research, identify, and specify solutions to problems.
•    Support and conduct visualization, user experience and configuration elements of solution design.
•    Document requirements specifications using high-maturity methods, processes and tools.
•    Support requirements management and change management processes.
•    Support aspects of the business cycle, including proposals, feasibility studies, and implementations.
•    Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

What we’re looking for


•    Strong oral/written communication skills. Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex regulatory and procedural documents. Time Management and organizational skills.
•    Strong analytical skills.
•    Minimum of two years Medicaid experience or data analysis experience.
•    Demonstrated strong
interpersonal skills.
•    Experience in Fraud and Abuse preferred.

What you should expect in this role

Work from Home/Hybrid 
Work-from-home (WFH); or Hybrid model including in-office and WFH days to be defined. For positions assigned to WFH, reliable high-speed internet connectivity is required.  Employees working-from-home may be required to report to the office, at times, to support work efforts.  

 

The pay range for this position is $47,300.00 - $59,100.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
