Summary

The System Administrator will oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform, Hyland Perceptive Content, while supporting related infrastructure. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the ECM system aligns with business needs, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise in ECM, server administration, SQL, and networking fundamentals.

Your role in our mission

Key Responsibilities

  • ECM System Administration:
    • Maintain and administer the ECM platform, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
    • Configure workflows, user roles, permissions, and integrations to align with business processes.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide Tier 2/3 support for ECM-related issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues, including SQL queries and server configuration.
  • Server Administration:
    • Perform basic server administration tasks, including monitoring, patching, and managing server performance.
    • Ensure system backups and disaster recovery plans are operational for the ECM environment.
  • SQL and Database Management:
    • Write and optimize SQL queries to support ECM reporting and troubleshooting.
    • Collaborate with database administrators to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Networking Fundamentals:
    • Troubleshoot connectivity issues impacting ECM performance.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to configure network settings related to the ECM system.
  • Upgrades and Patches:
    • Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in collaboration with IT and vendor teams.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Create and maintain user guides, technical documentation, and workflows.
    • Provide training and support for end-users to maximize the system’s potential.

What we're looking for

Required Qualifications

Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience as an Application Administrator, preferably with ECM tools such as Hyland Perceptive Content, OpenText, or SharePoint.
    • Experience with server administration, SQL, and networking concepts.
    • Certification in any EMC tool preferred

Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in managing ECM systems, including workflow design and system integrations.
    • Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows or Linux).
    • Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries.
    • Understanding of networking (e.g., DNS, IP addressing, firewalls).

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Communication:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with on prem/cloud-based ECM solutions and integrations.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards related to ECM systems and data security.
  • Experience managing virtualized or cloud-hosted environments (e.g., VMware, Azure, AWS).

The pay range for this position is $71,100.00 - $101,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
