Summary

HMS, a Gainwell Technologies Company  
HMS is hiring a TPL Specialist to support our financial and third-party liability functions. You’ll start out by learning all about how we enable Alaska to save money through coordination of benefits activities with other insurers. Review and identification of Casualty and Trauma cases are also performed, and recovery efforts are coordinated with an outside entity. The work is varied and challenging and requires someone who wants to use their talents to help us recover funds and to perform billing, reconciliation, and reporting of those activities. 

Your role in our mission


•    Review, research and update health insurance coverage, including billing of medical claims to health insurance companies when new coverage is discovered and later working the denials and payments that are returned.  
•    Casualty/Trauma Review
•    Premium Payments to Other Carriers and Reconciliation of any premium discrepancies

What we’re looking for

 

•    One to two years’ experience in medical claims billing preferred.
•    Strong written and verbal communications skills
•    Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow tasks/assignments through to completion with minimal supervision
•    Problem Solving Skills

 

What you should expect in this role

Work-from-home (WFH); or Hybrid model including in-office and WFH days to be defined. For positions assigned to WFH, reliable high-speed internet connectivity is required.  Employees working-from-home may be required to report to the office, at times, to support work efforts.  

 

The pay range for this position is $37,400.00 - $46,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
