Testing and Validation Manager

Role will be responsible for executing all aspects of testing and validation. Must demonstrate skills in management of a team, assessing process risks, flowcharting business processes (including the supporting application systems), identifying and evaluating the design of controls, and executing and documenting testing and validation tests. Resource ensures work is completed in accordance with generally accepted audit methodology and applicable standards, defined plans, budgets, and schedules.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Manages the development lifecycle to gather requirements, design and construct solutions, assure quality, assure user readiness and migration of solutions for one or more modules in an ERP product or for one module in multiple products. Ensures collaboration with business functions and key users to articulate solutions, business process improvements and configuration of system to meet business needs.
  • Manages staffing needs and assigns incoming projects/cases to team, ensuring the resources assigned have the correct skill set and bandwidth for product.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with business management and key users to understand new and changing business and technology requirements. Maintains updated industry knowledge and technology trends to identify options for improvement.
  • Ensures resolution of customer issues, implements and meets Service Level Agreements and improves current processes.
  • Collaborates with internal teams (development, product management, quality assurance, etc) on trending customer issues and ensures external communications are accurate and clear.
  • Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions with allocated budgets and company guidelines.
  • Prepares, recommends and oversees development of operating and personnel budgets. Monitors spending for adherence to budget plans, develops and recommends variances. Performs and/or oversees budget analysis.
  • Partners with Project Managers, System Engineers, and other technical leads to plan and execute on project goals
  • Develop robust test plans, strategies, and reports
  • Help define product requirements to ensure the requirement set is complete and testable
  • Assess impacts for design changes and approve design changes
