Your role in our mission
- Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze large volumes of drug data in support of state preferred drug list and supplemental rebate strategies.
- Perform cost analysis utilizing pricing, rebate information, and supplemental rebate offers in conjunction with the clinical drug class reviews to help inform PDL recommendations.
- Create drug related financial analysis, trends, and forecast reports for State agencies.
- Work with drug rebate module product team to develop tools and system functionality required for managing a supplemental rebate program, providing supplemental URA calculations, and accurately invoicing for drug and DME supplemental rebates.
- Serve as a point of contact for Gainwell with drug manufacturers in performing supplemental rebate negotiations and contracting for drugs and DME supplies for our State Medicaid FFS customers.
- Work with state Medicaid rebate pools and consortiums as needed for State supplemental rebate contracting.
- Assist clinical pharmacy group in presenting drug class and PDL reviews to State P&T and/or DUR Board meetings.
- Support the development of value-based agreements with drug manufacturers and presenting the details and operational functionality of those agreements with the State customer.
- Provide ongoing review of newly added drug products from the weekly FDB file updates to identify adjustments to existing supplemental rebate contracts.
- Manage all contract documents and communications with drug manufacturers as it relates to the supplemental rebate program.
What we're looking for
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in pharmacy management.
- Strong analytical and financial capabilities, experience working with large volumes of drug data.
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables). Additional experience with other analytical platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects preferred.
- Experience negotiating, contracting, or supporting drug rebates. Medicaid drug rebate experience preferred.
- Contracting experience preferred.
Other Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist is preferred, but not required
- Ability to communicate succinctly and accurately in both written and verbal English in various group settings from individuals to large groups.
- Strong leadership abilities which demonstrate proactive initiative.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under stringent timelines.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

The pay range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
