Summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking an accomplished Transformation Program Director to lead strategic initiatives that drive enterprise-wide change across our healthcare technology business. This leader will oversee high-impact transformation programs designed to enhance operational performance, improve cost efficiency, and strengthen our market position through digital and organizational innovation.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in strategy or advisory consulting from a major consulting firm and combines strategic insight with hands-on delivery expertise. The role requires a world-class communicator, executive storyteller, and project leader who can translate complex strategies into actionable business outcomes and compelling presentations for senior leadership.

Your role in our mission

  • Drive cross-functional transformation initiatives from design to execution, ensuring alignment with Gainwell’s strategic and operational priorities.
  • Partner with executive leaders to identify growth, efficiency, and cost optimization opportunities; develop business cases and transformation roadmaps.
  • Lead the financial tracking and analysis of transformation initiatives, ensuring realization of cost savings, ROI targets, and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor program expenditures, forecast benefits, and maintain financial transparency.
  • Translate program performance into quantifiable business outcomes that drive financial value for the enterprise.
  • Oversee project governance, milestone tracking, and risk management across multiple workstreams, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Develop and deliver polished presentations, dashboards, and progress updates to senior executives and the Board.
  • Design and implement strategies that foster adoption of new operating models, systems, and cultural shifts across the organization.
  • Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement to maximize transformation value realization.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, Product, and Operations leaders to integrate transformation goals into business operations.

What we're looking for

  • Experience: 5+ years leading large-scale business or digital transformation programs.
  • Previous experience with a top-tier consulting firm in strategy, transformation, or advisory practice.
  • Experience in transactional systems, healthcare, technology, or public sector transformation strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen, including cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and value realization tracking.
  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint expertise required).
  • Proven ability to align senior stakeholders and drive outcomes in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Deep understanding of program management methodologies (Agile, PMO, Lean, or Six Sigma frameworks).

What you should expect in this role

  • This role is 100% remote with the opportunity to travel up to 20% annually.

The pay range for this position is $137,100.00 - $195,800.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
