Gainwell Technologies is seeking an innovative and experienced Vice President of Analytics Life Cycle Management to lead the strategy, development, deployment, optimization, and ongoing performance measurement of analytics capabilities supporting our Pre- and Post-Pay Cost Containment solutions. This executive will own the full analytics life cycle—from data acquisition, model design, rules development, refinement, and validation, to operationalization and continuous performance monitoring.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare analytics, advanced modeling, and rules-based detection frameworks, along with a proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment between data engineering, product, audit/recovery, and payment integrity operations. The VP will ensure that analytics-driven insights and logic consistently deliver measurable cost savings, operational efficiency, and high performance for our government and payer clients.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics Strategy & Vision
- Define the enterprise strategy for analytics life cycle management across pre- and post-pay cost containment solutions.
- Align analytical capabilities with client outcomes, new product development, and payment integrity goals.
- Drive innovation in detection logic, predictive models, machine learning, and rules-based engines to improve savings and accuracy.
Analytics Life Cycle Ownership
- Own the end-to-end life cycle for all analytics—ideation, design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, optimization, and retirement.
- Establish consistent methodologies for rules creation, edits, models, scoring frameworks, and performance benchmarking.
- Ensure all analytics are supported by accurate documentation, reproducible methods, and clear versioning controls.
Data Partnership & Integration
- Partner closely with Data Management, Data Engineering, and Architecture teams to ensure analytics requirements align with data structures and availability.
- Collaborate with technology teams on analytical platform design, data pipelines, and tools enabling scalable execution.
Performance Management
- Develop KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and monitoring frameworks for ongoing analytics performance measurement.
- Lead root-cause analysis, model recalibration, rule refinement, and enhancements based on operational outcomes.
- Ensure accuracy, precision, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Audit, Clinical, Operations, and Product teams to validate analytics outputs and align detection logic with workflows.
- Support Sales and Client Services by producing new analytics concepts to present to clients, communicating value drivers and participating in client discussions and roadmap presentations.
- Preside over the client analytic concept presentation and approval process, coordinating as required across sales, client management and operations to ensure high levels of client approval following initial presentation.
- Serve as senior strategic operations advisor to partner with in-house AI team to drive improvements in speed, breadth and reach of new analytic ideation process and analytic yields.
- Serve as a senior advisor for new client implementations and analytics onboarding.
Leadership & Organizational Management
- Lead a high-performing team of analytics managers, data scientists, statisticians, rules/business analysts, clinical SMEs.
- Foster a culture of scientific rigor, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee staffing, budgeting, resource planning, and professional development for analytics personnel.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience in analytics, data science, payment integrity, or related fields.
- Deep domain knowledge of healthcare claims, eligibility data, coding structures, reimbursement, and payer business rules.
- Experience leading analytics life cycles including rules engines, predictive models, anomaly detection, machine learning, or scoring algorithms.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, data structures, and integration with data engineering and data management teams.
- Proven track record of improving model or rule accuracy, savings yield, and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate analytical logic into business value.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams.
- Ability to travel up to 15% domestically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Medicaid, Medicare, or commercial payer payment accuracy or cost containment programs.
- Background with analytical platforms such as Databricks, Python, R, SQL, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience integrating analytics into operational systems and customer reporting.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for healthcare data, privacy, and model governance.

The pay range for this position is $192,000.00 - $274,300.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
