Summary

As Vice President of Data & Insights for Pharmacy and Core Administration at Gainwell Technologies, you will lead the strategic use of data to drive cost containment, operational efficiency, and profitability across Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). You will oversee enterprise analytics, pharmacy insights, and core administrative functions, transforming complex data into actionable intelligence that informs client strategy, regulatory compliance, and internal performance optimization.

Your role in our mission

  • Define and execute a data-driven strategy to optimize pharmacy operations and MMIS core administration, with a focus on cost reduction and margin improvement.
  • Champion the use of descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities across Medicaid programs.
  • Lead the Pharmacy Insights team in delivering high-impact reporting and analytics that inform benefit design, drug utilization, rebate optimization, and regulatory compliance.
  • Translate complex pharmacy data into clear, actionable insights for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee data-driven operations in claims adjudication, provider management, member eligibility, and customer service.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce administrative costs and enhance service delivery.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to cost containment, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Partner with finance, actuarial, and operations teams to model cost-saving scenarios and forecast impact of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to enhance data architecture, improve data quality, and scale analytics capabilities.
  • Drive adoption of advanced visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to democratize insights across the enterprise.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team members have the tools, training, and support needed to deliver high-value insights and meet client expectations.

What we're looking for

  • Executive experience in healthcare analytics, Medicaid, MMIS, or pharmacy operations.
  • Proven ability to use data to drive cost containment and improve profitability.
  • Deep understanding of pharmacy data, healthcare economics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Expertise in data visualization, statistical modeling, and performance measurement.

What you should expect in this role

  • This position is 100% remote, with approximately 20% travel to support key client meetings.

The pay range for this position is $160,000.00 - $228,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
