This role will report to the Chief Growth Officer and will help set the direction for marketing and communications across Gainwell.  This position will support revenue growth, help lead the development and execution of marketing programs and processes, digital marketing activities, market research, advertising, promotion, product positioning, thought leadership, and all internal and external communications in support of Gainwell’s strategy of being an active and innovative market shaper.

Your role in our mission


  • Develop and maintain a strategic plan for business growth.
  • Assist internal business partners on marketing and communications strategies for all product and service offerings. 
  • Define and manage metrics to determine effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and manage market strategy for third party strategic partnerships that align to and enhance Gainwell’s position.
  • Advises executive management on proactive communication strategies.
  • Oversees and manages department related expenditures.  Balances cost saving measures with needs of department.

What we're looking for


  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in brand, marketing, communications. Bachelor’s degree required, MBA in Business or Marketing preferred.
  • Proven executive-level communication skills and presence. Experience leading a team, including building strong relationships and driving marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the business and market dynamics including financial performance, key objectives, challenges, and competitive landscape. Industry thought leader in marketing concepts, brand management, client strategy, campaign management, trends, emerging technology, and innovation.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, while promoting a strong culture of teamwork across organizational boundaries, including marketing, technology, and execution.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to influence others across the organization and demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize initiatives and deliverables.

What you should expect in this role


  • While this role will be remote, a significant proportion of the current marketing & communications team resides in the Irving, TX area and flexibly utilize the company offices in Irving for individual or team work.
  • Occasional travel will be required to the company headquarters in the Reston, VA area for ongoing team and executive leadership meetings. 


The pay range for this position is $192,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
