Summary

As the Vice President for State Government Solutions, you are responsible for the successful delivery and development of Gainwell government services to multiple clients. Has overall responsibility for managing groups of contracts within the designated region. Responsible for relationship engagement with key stakeholders, revenue generation, and overall client satisfaction. Responsible for regional strategy, organizational planning, and risk management.

Your role in our mission

  • Oversees the engagement and delivery of  State Government coordination of benefit and payment accuracy services.
  • Effectively plans, develops, and manages full P&L for state government services.
  • Effectively manages personnel to ensure high performance, efficiency, and quality.
  • Develops strong relationships at all levels, but especially with key Gainwell and client executives.
  • Builds a strong organizational plan that mitigates risks and facilitates future growth.
  • Consistently makes decisions in a timely manner to move business forward.
  • Develops strong relationships with Government services insurance stakeholders, including associations, advisory groups and business development influences.
  • Attracts, retains, and develops staff including succession planning.
  • Proactively develops and executes strategies to mitigate risk and facilitate opportunities.
  • Maintains understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment at both the national and state levels.
  • Considered to be a subject matter expert and is sought out by stakeholders for consultation on healthcare policy, products, and contracting.
  • Proactively manages output of shared services delivery by collaborating with peers.
  • Works with other Gainwell business divisions to coordinate sales and execution strategies for protection and promotion of company goals.
  • Sells new products and services to existing clients.
  • Seeks and develops partnerships that enhance Gainwell’s ability to enter new markets and contracts.
  • Develops proposal strategies, proactively shapes proposals, and leads teams through the proposal process.
  • Represents and promotes Gainwell by participating in conferences, fundraisers, and stakeholder events, both regionally and nationally.
  • Serves on corporate teams to facilitate product development, quality, and training.
  • Considered a role model for customer engagement and service delivery.
  • Assist in advancing corporate thought leadership agenda.  

What we're looking for

  • > 12 years of related people/process/client engagement experience.
  • 5+ years personnel engagement and development.
  • 5+ years financial/budgeting/P&L experience.
  • Sales and client engagement experience in a healthcare insurance environment strongly desired.
  • Medicaid and Medicare experience desired. Strong financial background desired.

What you should expect in this role

  • Frequent travel required, sometimes on short notice.
