Summary
As a Compliance Advisor, you will collaborate with different teams, interact very closely with multiples cross functional stakeholders/ business partners on Corporate Compliance including Statutory Compliance requirements and executing the same.

Your role in our mission
As a Compliance Advisor, you will collaborate with different teams, interact very closely with multiples cross functional stakeholders/ business partners on Corporate Compliance including Statutory Compliance requirements and executing the same.
Additionally, your role would demand identification, applicability, and execution of applicable laws, including Labour laws, as applicable to Gainwell Technologies India. You will work under direct supervision of the Director of Compliance in India.
Your role also requires the ability to manage a variety of regulatory compliance, contractual requirements, and labour-related legal issues with varying levels of complexity to successful completion.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and update compliance policies and procedures, guidance and training.
- Disseminate regulations to business and support functions and provide ongoing advisory services to ensure that Gainwell’s India Operations operates in accordance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Offer Compliance advisory to the Procurement team on vendor due diligence and on-boarding, the Human Resources team on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and other stakeholder teams as needed.
- Review third party contracts and offer advisory from a Compliance perspective.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk management and compliance programs in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations teams, to address compliance issues and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor submission of regulatory reports and filings as required by relevant authorities.
- Monitor completion and submission of all registrations/amendments and filing of all returns/documents under different Indian Acts and with the various federal and state regulatory authorities.
- Track, report and maintain the Compliance Dashboard for India Operations.
- Conduct internal investigations as needed to address compliance violations or suspected fraudulent activities.
- Report to Gainwell’s Director of Compliance for India Operations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Legislative Law or Equivalent Degree.
- 10 or more years of Compliance experience in handling Corporate Compliance, Labor Laws, Contract Management, Vendor Compliance Screening, audit etc. in a Corporate Legal and Compliance department of a multinational company
- Experience in Shop & Establishment Act, Exposure to Payroll compliance like PF, ESI, PT, etc.
- Understanding of Labor Law, CLRA, will be an essential
- Experience in Company Laws, Corporate and Regulatory Laws, Drafting Policies, Processes, Risk Assessment, etc.
- Understanding of Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Compliance, FCPA, UKBA, PCA will be an essential.
- Strong communication skills and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and assess potential risks and compliance issues.
- Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
