Job Profile Summary

Gainwell Technologies seeks experienced Data Engineers specializing in Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS to join their data analytics team. You will design, develop, and optimise data frameworks for collection, transformation, storage, and reporting on AWS, supporting analytic objectives. This role is focused on product development and excludes handling sensitive client data such as PHI or PII or other confidential client data. This role is strictly involved in the development of the product and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application development and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information.

Your role in our mission

  • Understand the requirements and develop it in Databricks, Pyspark, AWS, Python and follow Agile methodology, participate in scrum ceremonies.
  • Collaborates with testers to ensure defect free results.
  • Coordinates documentation reviews and remediation with the module SMEs and the implementation team.
  • Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried out through the entire project.
  • Assists in providing time estimates for project-related tasks.
  • Assists in developing the methods and procedures required to identify if current business goals and objectives meet organizational needs.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or related field
  • 14+ years of experience or equivalent experince in ETL Processing/data architecture or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience working with big data technologies on AWS/Azure/GCP
  • 4+ years of experience in the Databricks/Apache Spark framework (Python/Scala)
  • Experience working with different between database structures (e.g., transaction based vs. data warehouse)
  • Databricks and AWS developer/architect certifications a big plus
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers

  • Ability to be a high-impact player on multiple simultaneous engagements
