A Deployment Engineer is responsible for the entire lifecycle of software and system deployments, including planning, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in necessary environments. Key duties involve automating deployment processes, creating scripts and tools for deployment pipelines, collaborating with developers and IT operations, ensuring system reliability. Responsible for multitasking and dealing with multiple urgent situations at a time, the Deployment Engineers must be extremely flexible.
Your role in our mission
- This role is strictly involved in the deployment of the product software and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application deployment and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information.
- Create and implement deployment strategies, plan for hardware and software installations, and ensure timely delivery of applications and systems.
- Work with development teams and/or Release Manager to understand impacts of branches and code merges
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools
- Develop and maintain automated deployment systems, CI/CD pipelines, and scripts to streamline the transition from one environment to another.
- Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
- Proficient with continuous integration tools
- Install, configure, and upgrade software, hardware and other infrastructure components.

Minimum Proficiency Requirement, 5+ years of experience: Application systems analysis and development; Configuration and release management processes; Experienced deploying applications in Amazon AWS and Azure; Experience developing and provisioning software products in a SaaS environment
Infrastructure/Configuration
- Must be an Experienced level Windows/Linux Administrator
- Minimum Proficiency Requirement, Windows PowerShell DSC, Experience with as-code automation tooling: Ansible,
- Additional Experience a plus: AWS CouldFormation, Puppet, Chef, Bash, SaltStack, Docker
Software Configuration Management
- Must be an Experienced level SCM Administrator
- Minimum Proficiency Requirement, Experience with at least ALL SCM Tool: Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOp Repo git
- Additional Experience a plus: VCTL

- Six or more years of application, web and product design and support experience across the development life cycle, with experience preferred working with Medicaid and Medicare technologies
- A strong foundation in software and product design methodologies, programming languages, operating systems, web development and application implementation across the development life cycle
- Expertise in application development policies and procedures; and analyzing costing/ and budgets to determine financial feasibility
- A skilled designer and programming programmer who is effective across programming languages and environments as needed
- A demonstrated team player with the written and oral communication skills to be effective across application developers, clients and leadership
