Summary

  • The BA Exstream Designer is responsible for eliciting document requirements from business units, translating them into technical specifications, and designing communication templates within the OpenText Exstream environment. They ensure that all outbound communications meet branding, compliance, and functional standards while optimizing data-to-document workflows. 
    •    This role is strictly involved in the development support of the product software and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application support and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information.

Your role in our mission

•    Requirements Elicitation: Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather functional requirements for document templates, including data mapping and business logic.
•    Exstream Design: Utilize Exstream Designer/Design Manager to create and maintain high-volume, on-demand document templates.
•    Data Integration: Map complex input data (XML, JSON, CSV) to document variables and define conditional logic for personalized content.
•    Testing & QA: Support System Test team as well as the client during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure document accuracy and compliance.
•    Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for automation and template consolidation to improve operational efficiency.
•    Documentation: Author detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and technical design documents.

What we're looking for

•    Technical Expertise: Proficiency in OpenText Exstream (v16.6 or above), including modules like Design Manager and Designer.
•    Data Analysis: Strong ability to work with SQL, XML, and complex data structures for mapping purposes.
•    Analytical Thinking: Skills in process mapping (BPMN) and translating business needs into technical workflows.
•    Communication: Exceptional ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
•    Certification (Preferred): OpenText Certified Analyst or Developer status is highly desirable in 2025.
•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
