Your role in our mission
Essential Job Functions
- Leads and monitors progress of function test teams and their efforts for release candidates and the progress of outstanding defects during each phase of the development cycle.
- Defines test cases, test matrices, configuration test questionnaires, and writes test scripts from business requirements documentation to confirm that systems meet business objectives.
- Determines testing strategies and guides the work of less experienced team members.
- Communicates the status of potential issues and outstanding problems to project and quality assurance personnel.
- Performs quality control checks on software release candidates, determines final issue resolution status, and authorizes progression to next testing phase.
- Compiles final project documentation and prepares it for client delivery.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, management information systems, or computer science, or related field preferred
- Six or more years of software testing and quality assurance experience
- Experience working with project management methodology and related planning tools
- Experience leading small- to mid-sized teams of testers, coordinating work against schedules and providing guidance and direction as needed
- Experience working directly with clients, providing them with guidance and status, understanding their regulatory/validation requirements, and rendering prompt responses
- Experience working with query, configuration management and defect tracking tools used throughout the testing team
- Experience working with software product testing and applicable regulatory statutes
