Summary

The Nurse Analyst reviews claims using medical records and system reports to determine proper documentation, utilization, and appropriateness of medical services to identify possible fraud, waste, or abuse.

Your role in our mission

Performs post-payment analysis of medical claims and records.
Research policy and standards to use for judgements of fraud and abuse determinations.
Prepares reports to demonstrate findings in medical records and systesystem-generatedrts.
Provides process improvement suggestions to management to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of company products and solutions.
Utilizes a data mining tool to review medical records for correct coding and billing.

What we're looking for

Active credentials as a Medical Coder preferred
Any nursing license (LPN or RN) OR related healthcare medical record auditing experience is required
Must be professionally proficient in Microsoft Excel and Windows-based computer operation.
Experience working with medical procedures and techniques.
Good communication and time management skills required

What you should expect in this role

This position is based in our Baton Rouge, Louisiana office and will require regulregularing from this location.
Initial and ongoing training; it is fine if you just graduated college
Benefits start on the first day of work
Full-time (40 hours per week) working Monday through Friday (Day Shift)

The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
