Automation Test Engineer -QA

Summary

As an Automation Test Engineer -QA at Gainwell, you will be responsible to design, execute, and maintain automated test solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. This role focuses on expanding automation coverage while collaborating closely with developers and manual QA testers. This role is strictly involved in the development of the product and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application development and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information

Your role in our mission

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications
• Identify test cases suitable for automation and prioritize based on risk and impact
• Execute automated regression tests and analyze results
• Log, track, and validate defects through resolution
• Collaborate with developers during sprint cycles to ensure testability
• Participate in test planning, test case reviews, and retrospectives

What we're looking for

• 3–5 years of experience in Software QA with hands-on automation testing
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
• Proficiency in one programming/scripting language (Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#)
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC/STLC
• Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or REST clients
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and Jira or Azure DevOps
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Basic SQL and database validation knowledge
• ISTQB or similar QA certification
