Your role in our mission
POSITION TITLE: Cypress Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY: Serves at various Application Designer levels and in performing design, configuration, implementation, documentation, research, analysis, support, and other technical responsibilities supporting the role. Analyzes, models, designs, develops, and implements integration solutions for EDMS and HealthPAS Application suite for Medicaid sites. The position supports required Electronic Document Management Systems components providing Cypress distribution management processes crucial to implementing and functioning the Gainwell Medicaid Fiscal Agent services product.
Duties and Responsibilities (List all essential duties and responsibilities in order of importance)
- Utilizes experience in development methodologies, coding documentation, testing methodology, and industry standards to define and develop project requirements, functional specifications, and detailed design of application solutions for clients.
- Designs develops, and implements customized functionalities utilizing various tools, including MS SQL Server, Visual Studio, C#, SSIS, Web Services, Window services, PowerShell, WCF, and AWS.
- Guide letter authoring staff on how letter requirements can be best implemented.
- New site implementations
- Solution upgrades and enhancements
- Participates and oversees test-plan development, integration, and deployment.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, creative thinking, and design skills applicable to multiple products
- Ability to interface with other groups, including Operations Staff, Project Management, Business Analysts, Networking, Cloud-ops, Product Development, Citrix, and Systems Engineering.
- Good communication skills to communicate with application developers, customers, support personnel, and management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What we're looking for

- Strong knowledge of programming techniques in diverse development environments.
- Strong experience in virtual Windows server environments, managing and troubleshooting Windows services.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Design and Development, Agile Development
- Extensive knowledge of Windows / Windows Scripting / .NET / Configuration / Windows architecture / IIS / Web Configuration / Registry / Global Assembly Cache / Troubleshooting .NET IE and WEB-based applications
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Service, Web services – both Restful and SOAP based, Web applications, WCF, MVC
- Extensive knowledge of MS Visual Studio, MS.NET C#, ASP.NET, Visual Basic .NET, TSQL, Web Services, Entity Framework, jQuery, Bootstrap, RestAPI, SOAP, SSIS, MS SQL Server, Java Script, XML, XSD, HTML, CSS
- Good command of SQL language, SQL Server databases and understanding of database schemas.
- Good experience with Web Services (SOAP/Rest)
- Experience with Java, Apache web server, and Apache Tomcat.
- Knowledge of design, management, and performance optimization on relational databases and stored procedures.
- Knowledge and experience in commercial systems for electronic document management, such as FileNet and/or Cypress, is a plus.
- Minimum level of knowledge of OpenText (Cloud Faxing)
Minimum Related Work Experience
- Basic level of knowledge of networking principles (I.E., TCP/IP and Ports)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required for working with the district client, third-party vendors, and various Medicaid system project teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Systems
- Good experience in healthcare systems preferred.
- 10 – 15 years’ experience in the above skill set with the Healthcare sector is required
