Summary

Directs technical support, cost reduction initiatives, new product development, and all quality initiatives. Establishes and maintains long term customer relationships.  Provides overall technical expertise on highly complex projects to support and facilitate the sale of products and systems.

Essential Job Functions

  • Directs the organization and performance of certain functional areas and the activities of senior managers. Provides staff direction with an understanding and following of established company policies and procedures.
  • Partners with Engineering Leadership to align priorities and goals to the overall organization priorities and goals.
  • Understanding of technical needs to better align organization resources to higher demand needs.
  • Oversees business activities to ensure a high standard of professional excellence is maintained among staff members.
  • Establish, and align to, core KPIs to measure overall organization delivery metrics, with a process for transparent and continuous monitoring of measurements.
  • Partners to establish an Engineering culture that aligns to goals, high quality delivery, proactive communication and opportunities for growth.
  • Responsible for hiring high quality Engineering team members that align to the overall business demand, while establishing training and growth opportunities for the organization.
  • Directs the organization to establish standard onboarding practices, in partnership with other Engineering Leadership.
  • Directs business function including, approval of overall project plan, budgets, and work breakdown structure.
  • Establishes and implements short- and long-term strategies to deliver services to customers within reasonable schedules and budgets.
  • Establishes and communicates goals and objectives, defines/aligns to standard methodologies, tasks, and activities, and clearly describes roles and responsibilities for performing to personnel.
  • Actively collaborate with Engineering Leadership.
  • Communicates broadly to help ensure overall coordination for cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and proactively communicate areas of continuous improvement, and partner with other leaders to establish plans to deliver on improvement opportunities.
  • Continuous build/growth of Engineering Leadership locally, and focus for continuous improvement and active engagement.


Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field preferred
  • Twenty or more years of related experience
  • Ten or more years in a supervisory or management capacity included.
  • Experience working with past and present company business environment.
  • Experience working with concepts, practices, and procedures in areas of responsibility.
  • Experience working with management implications of various forms of financial data.
  • Experience leading Engineering organizations that partner globally.
  • Experience working in technical Engineering fields.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience working with management implications of various forms of financial data


Other Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) needed to interface with high-level customer representatives.
  • Strong strategic management and planning skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to publicly represent company with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution.
  • Ability to overlap hours with the US time zones to ensure active communication with the Engineering Leadership team based in the US.
