What we're looking for

  • Working experience and expertise in the following technologies:
    • COBOL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, SAS on IBM Mainframe
  • Code, test, debug, implement, and documents programs. Assist in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user
  • Gather information from the system, analyze program and time requirements, and prepare documentation to change existing programs
  • Research and analyze existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision
  • Design programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs
  • Write specifications for programs of moderate to high complexity
  • Assist in resolving production problems. Develop and suggest alternative approaches to resolving problems
  • Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identify issues as appropriate
  • Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation
  • Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews
  • Complex SQL work experience and query tuning expertise
  • Exposure to U.S. Healthcare domain is a plus

What you should expect in this role

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with relevant software packages or classes of packages, and products within area of technical expertise
  • Good in technical design skills
  • Good communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, support personnel, and management
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Good documentation skills with knowledge of MS Word and Excel to document things like unit testing scripts and results
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
