Your role in our mission

Leave of Absence

- Serves as the subject matter expert for the leave and workers’ compensation programs in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership and the legal department.
- Ensures that the workers’ compensation program is managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers’ compensation laws.
- Administers all aspects of leave and workers’ compensation programs. Provides extensive case management and coordinates administrative aspects of the cases and claims.
- Manages all administrative aspects of leave and workers’ compensation claims to include tracking hours used/taken and working closely with Payroll to ensure that pay for associates is accurate and correct.
- Works closely with the employee relations team to identify, research and resolve matters.
- Serve as resource to HR Business Partners on Leave of Absence (LOA) administration for appropriate client groups
- Produces and manages reporting metrics and analytics for all leave cases and workers’ compensation claims. Presents reports as requested.
- Partners closely with all HR business partners on all leave cases and workers’ compensation claims. Meets regularly with HRBPs to review claims’ status and develops strategies for resolution.
- Partners closely with HRBPs on all related cases/claims. Meets regularly to review the status of cases/claims and develops legally sound strategies for a mutually beneficial resolution.
- Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).
- Assists in the creation and facilitation of leave administration and workers’ compensation training programs

 

Benefits

- Educate and provide guidance to US employees regarding benefits offerings by providing benefit subject matter expertise
- Assist activities to ensure plans are compliant with ERISA, DOL & state reporting requirements, including non-discrimination testing, claim submissions, 5500 reporting/filing, Summary Annual Reports
- Act as a liaison between HR, vendors, and associates to provide support as it relates to benefit projects, policies and procedures
- Must have strong ability to analyze data to identify issues
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize assignments
- Solid understanding of Benefits principles
- Working with Benefits Director, serve as a liaison between employees and the appropriate benefit provider for questions regarding benefit programs and processes, escalating to our third party broker where appropriate
- Support Benefits Director on project planning and implementation related to open enrollment at all sites and ensure information, materials and education are received at all locations to ensure effective and timely enrollment
- Reviews and interprets various benefit plan documents to ensure compliance, respond to inquiries and resolve issues
- Assists benefit plan operations by supporting bill payment activities, including monthly invoice processing
- Maintain and prepare written and graphic announcements for benefits and wellness related materials
- Lead regular benefits audits, annual 401k audit
- Act as a tester for Annual Enrollment and other implementation activitie

What we're looking for

Qualifications

- 4-year degree in Human Resource Management, Labor Relations, or a related field of study preferred
- Must have at least 5 years of experience conducting research, analyzing and interpreting data, and recommending solutions to complex problems
- Must have the ability to interpret and convey policies and summarize plan descriptions as they relate to employee benefit plans
- Must be detail-oriented, able to appropriately manage confidential information, and demonstrate the ability to influence
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
