Your role in our mission

  • Adjudicate claims by reviewing claim information, applicable guidelines, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely processing and appropriate payment or denial decisions.
  • Process incoming financial transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring transactions are properly documented, recorded, and handled in accordance with established procedures.
  • Balance and process incoming checks and electronic funds transfers (EFTs) by verifying amounts, reconciling transactions, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring funds are accurately applied to the appropriate accounts.
  • Review Medicare Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), Other Insurance EOBs, and transactional files to support claims processing, identify discrepancies, and assist with audits and financial reconciliation activities.
  • Provide mailroom and courier support by receiving, sorting, distributing, and processing incoming and outgoing materials while maintaining accurate documentation and timely delivery of required items.

What we're looking for

  • Knowledge of claims processing with an understanding of claim review, adjudication, payment, denial, and related processing procedures.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable and third-party liability, including Medicare and Other Insurance, with the ability to review and reconcile financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for maintaining records, organizing data, performing basic calculations, and supporting financial and claims-related activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word for preparing, updating, and maintaining professional documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for managing email communications, calendars, scheduling, and day-to-day business correspondence.

What you should expect in this role

The position is mostly on-site in Farmington, CT. 

The position will also serve as a back-up courier one day/week with a need to drive a company vehicle/van to perform daily bank and USPS stops.

The pay range for this position is $29,100.00 - $41,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
