Summary

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

•    Provide on-site training for all newly enrolled providers and as-needed refresher training of providers.
•    Assist providers in resolving claim-processing issues.
•    Educate providers on system changes, claims submission, Medicaid policy.
•    Conduct provider site visits
•    Participate in the identification, documentation, analysis and validation of basic business processes, systems, and solution requirements.
•    Work with Area Medicaid Offices to implement Medicaid billing/policy changes.
•    Create/lead public presentations and provider workshops.
•    Promote the use of electronic claims submission by providers.
•    Create training and educational materials for providers. 
•    Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding healthcare.
•    Assist call center and provider enrollment staff with more complicated inquires received.
•    All other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications
•    A bachelor's degree preferred in healthcare administration or equivalent; may hold 2-year post-high school degree (insurance, healthcare, or related field) and substitute work experience year for year.
•    A minimum of 2 years of experience in client services, provider relations, and claims processing.
•    Knowledge and understanding of Medicaid, claims processes and data capturing.


Other Qualifications
•    Proficiency in creating presentations, training documents, reports, and analytical graphs.
•    Training/teaching onsite or remotely (webinar or similar tools)
•    Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
•    Experience working with claims preferred
•    Ability to multi-task
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays (approx. 50% within territory).
