Summary

We are seeking a talented individual for a Lien Recovery Caseworker who is responsible for verifying, documenting, and coordinating information needed to process applications. This position requires a working knowledge of all systems and processes that support the Iowa contract, which includes MMIS, Ecenter, and OnBase.  Must have the ability to work in a production, quality, and project-driven atmosphere. 

Your role in our mission

  • Initiate, track and provide award collection correspondence between Revenue Collections and the legal community, effected Medicaid representatives, court, insurance carriers and the Iowa Department of Human Services.
  • Perform outbound calls to attorneys regarding lien case status and collection.
  • Investigate and process matters related to lien recovery.
  • Work with the Iowa Department of Human Services policy staff and legal counsel regarding disputed settlements.
  • Assist in writing procedural updates.
  • Streamline workflow to increase recovery activities.
  • Must be able to proficiently work Maestro.
  • Must be able to proficiently work all aspects of OnBase as it relates to lien recovery activity.
  • Must be able to champion projects as needed to support the business needs.  This includes providing organized detail or summary data of the project upon request.
  • Must have excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Perform additional job duties as requested by management.

What we're looking for

  • Must have at least one (1) year of lien recovery/subrogation experience.
  • Experience as a Paralegal is a plus.
  • Must have Medicaid/Medicare or other commercial insurance experience.
  • Call center experience is a plus, but being great with verbal and written communication is a must.
  • Must be able to utilize Microsoft applications, especially Excel

The pay range for this position is $30,500.00 - $43,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
