Summary
We are seeking a talented individual for a Caseworker role responsible for analyzing claim histories for Third Party Liability eligibility.
Your role in our mission
- Submit completed case files to a supervisor for review, including all related documentation such as letters, profiles, narratives, and system-generated records.
- Gather and verify additional documentation, including clarifying information and medical records, as needed.
- Enter and update client insurance information within Medicaid systems accurately.
- Retrieve, organize, and maintain case files.
- Assist with related responsibilities and support special projects as assigned.
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a minimum accuracy standard of 90%.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to thoroughness and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Previous experience in the medical or insurance field is preferred.
- Prior experience in analyzing and managing medical or legal case files is a plus.
What we're looking for
- Review Medicaid Third Party Liability cases that are assigned daily requests from attorneys, insurance companies and other entities.
- Investigate all potential sources for the recovery of medical assistance funds and inform the appropriate parties about the organizations interest.
- Access multiple systems and create a paper and electronic file for cases created.
- Review and analyze claim histories, computer files, and other records to determine claim amount.
- Handle and process all incoming phone calls from attorneys, insurance companies and Medicaid clients in a timely manner to ensure collections.
What you should expect in this role
- This position is based at the DHS office located in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas, with the potential for a hybrid schedule.
- All necessary equipment and systems training will be provided.
- Most benefits are effective starting on the first day of employment.
- The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Candidates must be able to begin work within two weeks of receiving an employment offer.
- Video cameras are required for all interviews and during the first week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $32,700.00 - $46,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
