Summary
Under general supervision of a Disability Determination Bureau (DDB) supervisor, this role performs support tasks related to the adjudication of disability applications under the Social Security Act. Proficient phone handling, electronic documentation, and accurate record keeping are essential.
Your role in our mission

Handle inbound and outbound calls on a multi-line telephone, including claimants, providers, and third-party contacts.

Accurately document information and manage electronic case records.

Image, index, and organize documents in electronic claim folders.

Assist with reception, routing of mail, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
What we're looking for

Proficient typing skills and attention to detail.

Ability to deescalate difficult callers and steer communication effectively.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent customer service skills and call triaging ability.

Familiarity with medical terminology preferred; fluency in Hmong a plus (not required).
What you should expect in this role

Work onsite at 1400 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI.

Standard work schedule is 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CT, Monday through Friday (with slight room for deviation if needed).

Two-week training period with full attendance required.

High-volume call environment requiring resilience and strong communication skills.

The pay range for this position is $29,100.00 - $41,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
