Your role in our mission
As a Provider Relations Representative, you will serve as a key liaison between the Medicaid Agency and the provider community. In this role, you will:
• Plan and lead educational workshops for a variety of provider types.
• Conduct on-site provider visits to deliver individualized training and support.
• Install and troubleshoot Provider Electronic Solutions (PES) software and promote the benefits of electronic claims submission, including training on the Medicaid Interactive Web Portal.
• Provide training to Account and Medicaid staff on new programs, processes, or policy updates.
• Respond promptly and professionally to written inquiries from both the agency and the provider community.
• Effectively communicate information in a clear and concise manner, manage multiple priorities, work both independently and as part of a team, and quickly learn and retain complex information.
What we're looking for
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Ability to travel up to 50% statewide (including bordering states within a 30-mile radius), with occasional nationwide travel. This includes 2–3 travel days per week and 1–2 overnight stays per month.
• Background in medical billing, claims processing, or Alabama Medicaid is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong customer service orientation, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
What you should expect in this role
- This is an onsite position in Montgomery, AL
- Harver Assessment Requirement: As part of our interview process, all candidates must complete the Harver Assessment. This assessment helps us evaluate key competencies relevant to the role, including communication skills, multitasking abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $32,700.00 - $46,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
