Summary
As a Correspondence Specialist is responsible for but is not limited to, researching, and analyzing incoming Member Complaints, Member Reimbursement requests, Billing and Enrollment inquiries, miscellaneous member correspondences, etc. and determining appropriate paths to follow, creating supporting documentation, processing claims/TARs on final determinations, and extensive communication with members, providers, and additional internal and external customers
Your role in our mission
- Research member appeals and grievances and obtain additional information.
- Create various types of written communication including letters, emails, and memos. This requires a strong command of language and an understanding of the target audience. Each piece must be tailored to reflect the appropriate tone and context.
- Handle queries from clients, stakeholders, and team members in a professional and timely manner. This requires not only excellent writing skills but also the ability to remain composed under pressure. Providing prompt responses builds trust and rapport with stakeholders.
- Adhere to organizational policies and legal requirements regarding communication and correspondence. This includes understanding privacy regulations and confidentiality agreements. Compliance protects the organization from potential liabilities.
- Oversee the flow of correspondence to ensure timely responses and follow-ups. This includes prioritizing urgent messages and routing them to the appropriate parties. A well-managed communication system enhances the organization’s efficiency.
What we're looking for

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Medi-Cal Dental Program experience needed
- Ability to read dental radiographs. Medi-Cal Dental Claim/TAR processing preferred.

- Hybrid role requires reporting onsite for meetings, special training requests, or other business needs. The office is in Roseville, Ca.

The pay range for this position is $46,800.00 - $66,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
