Summary

As a Business Analyst - Financial Operations at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. You will be supporting the work for the Georgia Department of Community Health Program Medicaid systems. Here are the details on this position.

Your role in our mission

  • Analyze, plan, design, document and make recommendations to improve business processes to support client’s technological aspirations 
  • Be a supportive bridge between clients, project managers and technical personnel to define, track and communicate business requirements and their expected impact by building basic conceptual data and process models
  • Create, execute or analyze basic test scenarios to verify that client requirements are built into system design
  • Ensure that “intent of change” is carried out through every project phase by participating in technical reviews and inspections
  • Work with the Weekly Checkwrite for the Georgia Department of Community Health Program

  • Process financial transactions into the Medicaid System

  • Reconcile and adjust transactions as needed and requested by the Georgia Department of Community Health

  • Research Cash Receipts and Accounts Receivable transactions

  • From Time to Time reach out to providers for information on payments

  • Work collaboratively with other units in the Georgia Fiscal Agent Operations to answer questions or bring issues to closure.

What we're looking for

  • Three or more years of experience translating technical goals and requirements into real action for clients
  • Knowledge of basic computer programming concepts such as configuration, development and batch processing
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other software for conducting quantitative analysis 
  • Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients and technical personnel
  • An influencer and team player who that motivates others to action and communicates key technical ideas in a digestible way 

Key requirements

  • Proficient Microsoft Office suite: Excel and Word 
  • Adobe solutions
  • Financial experience beneficial
  • Collaborative team-oriented individual with multitasking skills ability to produce independent work to meet deadlines

What you should expect in this role

  • Candidate must live within commuting distance to our Tucker, GA office for this hybrid position
    Candidate will be required to be onsite on occasion at the client’s request.
  • Due to conflict-of-interest: candidates must not have any family members working on the Georgia account
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $55,600.00 - $58,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
