Essential Job Functions
Operate Light and Heavy duty Mailroom Equipment such as (Scanner, Postage Meter, High Speed Inserter)
Responsible for daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure that machines continue to run properly.
Sorting and opening mail
Shipping outgoing mail and packages,
Keep record of all mails received using the computer system in a particular order to be able to identify date of receipt, where and whom it was sent to for easy identification and tracking mail and packages and prevents losses.
Sort packages and group them into different categories for easy dispatch and safe handling during delivery to post office
Maintain supplies, including shipping and mailing envelopes, boxes, markers, forms stickers, and box tape.
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
Ability to operate small courier van
Clean driving record
Keep the mailroom organized by properly arranging the bundles of mail and packages.
Weigh items to be mailed to get the right weights and assign the proper amount of postage to outgoing mail
Other duties as assigned
