Summary
The Financial Operations Associate is responsible for processing, monitoring, and reconciling financial transactions that support scheduled operational cycles for the State of Rhode Island Medicaid Program. This role is transaction‑driven and operational in nature, focusing on system processing, data review, reconciliation, and reporting rather than traditional accounting functions.
The Associate works within the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and related banking platforms to ensure accurate execution of payments, recoupments, and adjustments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Your role in our mission
- Process payment transactions, adjustments, and recoupments in MMIS and related financial systems.
- Execute operational financial activities tied to scheduled financial cycles, including payouts and recoveries.
- Generate, review, and reconcile operational financial reports to validate transaction accuracy.
- Issue and track manual checks and wire payments for provider or client reimbursements.
- Participate in operational projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $43,800.00 - $62,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
