Summary
Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced Claims Data Entry Team Lead to support claims operations for California’s Medi-Cal program at our West Sacramento office.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and operational support to Data Entry employees while helping ensure established production, quality, accuracy, and service-level expectations are achieved.
You will serve as a subject matter resource for claims keying and data entry activities, help coordinate daily workflow and priorities, provide training and real-time support to employees, and assist with process improvements. This is a hands-on lead role that also requires performing claims data entry activities as needed to support daily production.
Your role in our mission
- Lead and support Data Entry employees while helping ensure established productivity, quality, accuracy, and service-level expectations are consistently achieved.
- Monitor daily workloads, workflow, staffing needs, inventory, and priorities to support operational goals and service-level commitments.
- Provide training, coaching, and real-time assistance to team members regarding claims data entry procedures, processes, and system functionality.
- Perform quality reviews, identify trends or processing issues, and help implement improvements designed to increase accuracy, productivity, and overall team performance.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and employees by communicating operational updates, process changes, procedures, and business priorities.
- Perform claims keying and data entry activities while maintaining established accuracy and productivity standards and supporting daily production needs.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in data entry, claims intake, claims processing, document processing, healthcare operations, or a similar high-volume production environment.
- Experience providing day-to-day guidance, training, coaching, or workflow support to other employees.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support employees in a fast-paced, metrics-driven production environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, and the ability to learn business processing and claims systems.
What you should expect in this role
- This is a 100% onsite position at our West Sacramento, CA office. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.
- You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment focused on claims data entry, accuracy, productivity, and quality.
- This is a hands-on lead role that requires supporting employees while also performing claims data entry and keying activities as needed.
- You will help monitor daily workflow, workload distribution, inventory, and operational priorities throughout the workday.
- You will participate in process improvement initiatives, operational meetings, and special projects designed to improve efficiency and quality.
- Overtime may be required during periods of increased inventory, project activity, or service-level demand.

The pay range for this position is $37,500 - $53,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
