Summary

As a Drug Rebate Analyst at Gainwell, you will play a key role in supporting Medicaid programs by ensuring accurate and timely processing of drug rebate payments. You will contribute to the financial integrity of our clients’ programs through detailed reconciliation, documentation tracking, and compliance-driven reporting. This role is ideal for professionals with an accounting background who thrive in structured, deadline-driven environments and are motivated by meaningful work that supports vulnerable communities.

Your role in our mission

You will support Gainwell’s commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance by performing critical drug rebate functions, including:

  • Reconciling and designating drug rebate payments within the Drug Rebate system at the National Drug Code (NDC) level
  • Researching and responding to inquiries from state agencies (e.g., DHCS) and drug manufacturers via email
  • Tracking and maintaining manufacturer documentation to support rebate processing and audit readiness
  • Preparing and mailing invoices and late payment notification letters
  • Completing daily status reports to document work performed and meet productivity expectations
  • Handling confidential and sensitive data in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines

What we're looking for

  • Two (2) or more years of accounting or financial processing experience
  • Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Standard business hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

The pay range for this position is $44,200.00 - $63,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
