Summary

Working with Vermonters to help Vermonters, our Williston VT office is seeking a financial accounting individual to supervise our small team of analysts. The Financial Team Lead role requires a person with strong business and analytical problem-solving skills. The Financial lead is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the compiling, creating, and delivery of a variety of financial reports, on daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles. This role is a primary liaison with the State of Vermont, receiving and processing transaction requests as well as answering questions on details behind a wide variety of financial reports. Our financial services team also enters a variety of transactions including claims adjustments, refund check processing, accounts payables, accounts receivables, and bank ACH and paper check processing. The Financial Team lead role also includes being the backup to the Financial Services Manager, attending meetings, completing monthly team reports, etc.

Your role in our mission

Interacts with the State of Vermont, providers, claims processing, and customer service departments
• Oversee the Team supports each other to complete all work and rotates and cross-trains on responsibilities
• We provide a full range of Accounts Receivable and Payable functions to support the Green Mountain Care Health Care programs
• Completes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting
• Assists in ensuring compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley policies & guidelines

What we're looking for

Healthcare industry experience is a plus
Two or more years of accounting experience
Superior business and analytical problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools.
Demonstrated ability to help facilitate and organize a team's work.
Demonstrated ability to help coach and mentor others.

What you should expect in this role

Hybrid, on-site for 2 to 3 days per week

The pay range for this position is $58,800.00 - $84,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
