Come join our Gainwell Financial Services team in Vermont! The team performs a wide variety of financial and third-party liability functions for Vermont-run health insurance programs. You’ll start by learning all about how we enable Vermont to save money through the coordination of benefits activities with other insurers. Review and identification of Casualty and Trauma cases are also performed, and recovery efforts are coordinated with an outside entity. The work is varied and challenging and requires someone who wants to use their talents to help us recover funds and to perform billing, reconciliation, and reporting of those activities. Your role in our mission
- Review, research, and update health insurance coverage; submit and bill medical claims to insurance carriers when new coverage is identified, and follow up on returned denials and payments.
- Conduct casualty and trauma claim reviews.
- Manage premium payments to external carriers and reconcile any premium discrepancies.
What we're looking for
- 1–2 years of experience in medical claims billing preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
What you should expect in this role
- Hybrid (In-Office presence required a couple of days per week at Williston, VT location.

The pay range for this position is $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
